Eight day in Court:

Last year, Vladimir L. Rudenko confirmed that he had been in contact with Nikitin when the latter was working on the Northern Fleet report. They had discussed technical issues on nuclear safety as they used to do at work, and he directed Nikitin to where he could find more literature on the issue.

Rudenko then said they had not discussed anything he knew to be secret. He had read the report and testified that to his opinion not all of it had ecological relevance. When asked specifically about the report’s data on accidents, which is what the current indictment is all about, he said he found all that information to be environmentally significant.
