Russian environmentalists and scientists studied German experience with nuclear plant decommissioning
A Russian delegation arrived on an exploratory visit to better understand the Germany’s experience with decommissioning the Greifswald atomic power plant along with five thousand personnel and five nuclear power reactors, concurrent with the Kola nuclear power plant design.
The goal of the visit is to get better acclimated with German experiences in solving social, environmental and technological problems that are connected with removing the Atomic Power Plant from operation. Chairmen from the Murmansk district administrations, municipal authorities of the atomic city Polarnie Zory in the Murmansk region and NGO activists from Green World and Geya took part in the visit.
