White Rose funding confirmed
The White Rose CCS project in Yorkshire will receive €300 million funding through the NER300 programme. What has been a rumour for some time has now been confirmed by the European Commission.
Bellona reported in April this year that now former MEP Chris Davies said that White Rose was set for EU funding. However, this has until now not been confirmed.
A Commission implementing decision, stating the projects that will be awarded funding under the NER300 second call for proposals, has recently surfaced. Albeit only a draft in its current form, any changes are highly unlikely and an official announcement from the Commission’s DG Climate Action is expected on 8 July.
According to the document, White Rose’s funding will be €300 million.
