The navy rearmament program stipulates construction of the new missiles strategic submarine, which should become the basis for the future Russian submarine fleet. According to Masorin, the navy is to receive a new ballistic missile Bulava already in 2007. Yury Dolgoruky nuclear submarine should also enter service in 2007 and be armed with the Bulava missiles. The surface forces will receive a new corvette, a frigate and a few destroyers. The ships will be constructed with the new technologies, reported Krasnaya Zvezda.
