Maintenance works at Kola NPP

The repair works at reactor unit no.3 of Kola NPP have been finished and the unit was put in operation. At the moment all four units are connected to the grid, Interfax reported referring to the head of the Kola NPP press department Victoria Nigorenko.

The plant’s load is 860 MW. On August 10, reactor unit no.2 will be shut down for maintenance works in accordance with the schedule for 2005. The maintenance works are to last 60 days till October 8, 2005. The radiation levels are reportedly normal.
