A source in the Russian Government reported that in the frames of this visit the Norwegian part can pay attention to participation of these companies in Shtokman project. The Norwegian companies have high chances to become partners of International Consortium on Shtokman field development, Oilcapital reported. “The Norwegian companies have high chances, but we can’t predict the results in advance”, noticed the source.
“The companies want to win the competition, but “Gazprom” is to make the final decision, according to commercial criteria”, the resource told. “Gazprom” in interested in a partner with good experience in development of similar fields and access to other markets and resources. “Shtokman field is not a matter of negotiations between Russian and Norwegian Governments”, the source in the Russian Government reported.
