The study, which was initiated by the Rotterdam Climate Initiative, and is based on independent assessments, ound that the total costs of the varying projects ranged from €40 ($57.14) to €70 per tonne of CO2, the agency reported.
Nine energy firms including German utility E.On, Anglo-Dutch oil major Shell, and Belgian electricity company Electrabel are considering carbon capture projects around Rotterdam, Europe’s biggest port, said Reuters.
