Statoil has established its centre "Sozvezdiye", supported by regional administration on 13 February. Hydro’s centre "Intershelf" is to be opened on 21 February, BarentsObserver reported.
According to Hydro’s press-service, the opening of the Intershelf office is a culmination of the company’s activities in Arkhangelsk region. Hydro has been working with the development of contractor networks in the region since 2003. Russian shelf fields’ development and Shtokman gas project are in the field of interests of both Norwegian companies. Both companies are in Gasprom’s short list for Shtokman project. Russian contractors are also needed in the development process of the field.
