Murmansk and Gazprom signed Shtokman deal
Administration of the Murmansk region signed a deal with the Gazprom company on cooperation at the Shtokman field in the Barents Sea.
The deal commits the parties to cooperate on the development of the large gas field and the construction of a LNG plant in the region, BarentsObserver informs. According to Murmansk region governor Yuri Yevdokimov, the main objective of the deal is to speed up the development process at Shtokman. Yevdokimov also stresses that the deal includes an objective to supply natural gas from Shtokman to industry and households in Murmansk region.
