A commission comprised of the head of the Department of Technical Inspection [an internal inspection at LAES] V.M.Tverye, the head of the Workshop for Transportation and Storage of Nuclear Fuel, A.A. Ziryukov, deputy head of the Workshop for Transportation and Storage of Nuclear Fuel, A.I. Kluyev, engineer of the State Technical Inspectorate of the Department of Technical Inspection, S.I. Gauk examined location No.142 between axes [on the LAES map] M-N and 9-10 of the building No.428, and found:
1. A leak point with an intensity of water increments of about 0.5 litres per hour was found in a wall of location No.142 at a height of 6 meters.
2. Measurements showed that isotopes of caesium-137 are present in the water, and this indicates the source of the leakage: the storage ponds of spent nuclear fuel.
THE COMMISSION DECIDED:
1. To issue requirement specifications for developing a project of liquidation of leakages by injections.

2. According to the project, liquidate the leakages from the ponds of the Storage of Spent Nuclear Fuel [mentioned above as the building No.428].

3. To elaborate on measures to bring the conditions of storing the spent nuclear fuel into conformity with the Regulations and Norms of Atomic Energy, Provision 14-029-91, paragraph 6.3.18.
