Lifetime of Bilibino NPP extended for 15 years more
This is the last extension and then the plant should be taken out of operation in 15 years, ITAR-TASS reported.
According to Mikhail Chudakov who spoke with ITAR-TASS, Rosenergoatom concern will cover most of the expenses for the plants operation. In particular, about $20m is allocated for the safety of the plant and also for equipment replacement. $700 thousand has been allocated through the Russian Federal program Nuclear and radiation safety of Russia.
