12 more hydrocarbon fields to be opened in Komi Republic

The Russian Ministry of Natural Resources offers to open another 12 hydrocarbon fields in the Komi Republic for exploration in 2005.

In all of Russia, 104 more fields will be open for exploration in 2005. Among the new fields are also deposits in the Nenets Autonomous region, Volgograd, Krasnodar, Rostov, Murmansk and other regions. Foreign companies are not allowed to participate in seven of the 104 new fields, BarentsObserver reports.
