Nuclear icebreakers can be transferred to Rosatom

Russian nuclear icebreakers’ fleet can be transferred to the new state corporation “Rosatom”.

It was stated at the Russian Parliament, by the head of the Russian Nuclear Agency Sergey Kirienko. “We can loose the whole ice-breakers’ fleet in the nearest 7-10 years” Kirienko said. One of the suggestions to develop the ice-breakers’ fleet is transferral of the nuclear ice-breakers under state corporation jurisdiction. “The decision is not taken, but we can consider this possibility” Kirienko added.
