Niklas Wagner

Transformation Economist
Niklas Wagner has been working at Bellona since September 2025. His focus is on analyzing economic barriers to the transformation of the basic materials industry, as well as on evaluating and further developing policy instruments. He studied Industrial Economics in the Master’s program at TU Berlin, with a focus on circular economy and climate-neutral industry. Previously, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology at the University of Göttingen. During his studies, he gained practical experience in non-financial reporting in audit-related consulting at KPMG. Most recently, he worked at the think tank Agora Industry, focusing on the transformation of the steel industry.
