Dr. Lena Patterer has been working as a Senior Advisor for Steel Transformation at Bellona Germany since November 2025. She holds a PhD in Engineering from RWTH Aachen University and most recently worked as a postdoctoral researcher on sustainable processes in the steel industry, focusing on hydrogen-based direct and plasma reduction of iron ores. Alongside her research, she lectured on innovative technologies for sustainable steel production and on the industrial transition towards climate neutrality.
