Dr. Georg Kobiela has a doctorate in physical chemistry and is a trained political scientist and economist. In early 2024, he assumed the role of policy lead at Bellona Deutschland. Prior to this, Georg worked on industrial transformation and energy systems, within the NGO sector at Germanwatch and in transformation research at the Wuppertal Institute. He also regularly teaches at universities and colleges on the climate crisis, planetary boundaries, and the challenges of transformation.
