Berit Bjugan Aam is the team lead for the Bellona bioeconomy team. The team focuses on various issues related to climate and environment in both the blue and green sectors. Berit has a research background in biotechnology from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). She was one of the founders and the CEO of the university start-up BioCHOS AS. The company worked on the development and registration of a new biological plant protection product for agriculture. Aam holds a civil engineering degree in Biotechnology from the University of Tromsø, and a PhD in Toxicology from the Norwegian Defense Research Establishment / University of Oslo.
