Joakim holds a MSc in biology from Centre for Ecological and Evolutionary Synthesis at the University of Oslo. Previous roles include CEO and President of The Sahara Forest Project, leading the development of climate solutions from start-up to established operations with facilities in Qatar and Jordan. Broad experience on issues related to strategy, innovation and green technologies from NGOs and the private sector, as well as advising international institutions. Head of the Bellona bio-programs.
