Rosenergoatoms nuclear power plants produced 139.8 billion KW/h in 2002, and are expected to generate 148.7 billion KW/h of electricity next year. Russian nuclear plants generated 10.7 billion KW/h in July. This is 10.3% more than July last year. The Rosenergoatoms nuclear plants have generated 83.4 billion KW/h during the past six months, what is 550 million KW/h more than the order of the Federal Energy Committee. It is 5.5 billion KW/h or 7% more in comparison with the same period last year. 22 nuclear power units are in operation at the moment with 15,850MW total capacity. Eight units are under the maintenance.
