Shtokman field is priority for Russian-American cooperation

Shtokman field development and foreign project partners’ definition for further investigation is a priority for the Russian oil export strategy and Russian-American cooperation.

According to Russian Industry and Energy Minister Victor Khristenko, the Shtokman field has “fantastic” technological cooperaton perspectives for Russian-American oil development.


This project is one of prerequisites for energy dialogue development between Russia and the USA, RusEnergy reported.


The Shtokman field has unique reserves of gas and gas condensate. The USA ihass planned to be the main consumer of Shtokman gas.
