UNITED STATES/CHINA: The Global Climate and Energy Project awards nearly $2 million for collaboration on CO2 storage with China

BRUSSELS – This contribution goes into an international research collaboration to study CO2 sequestration in China, initiated by Stanford University`s Global Climate and Energy Project (GCEP).

The research aims at dealing with fundamental issues regarding large-scale CO2 storage (sequestration) in saline aquifers in China and is a collaboration between the University of Southern California (USC), Peking University (PKU) and China University of Geosciences at Wuhan (CUG).
