Jonas Sottmann has a solid background in energy storage materials and electrochemistry of lithium-/sodium-ion batteries. After graduating in Materials Physics from the University of Göttingen, Germany, and the University Claude Bernard Lyon, France, he obtained his Ph.D. in electrochemistry from the University of Oslo, Norway. He then worked as a researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) at Sorbonne University to investigate electrode materials and electrolyte-electrode interfaces in batteries using synchrotron radiation. At Bellona Holding Jonas is working as a battery technology and industry advisor.
