Jonas Helseth has previously worked for the Norwegian EU delegation where he was an adviser on transportation, energy, environment and telecommunications. He has worked in Bellona Europe since 2010, and has since 2012 been the Director. He is also responsible for Bellona’s work on CCS; CCS in combination with biomass (Bio-CCS) and CCS in other industries than the power sector, and CCS policy in relation to the EU. Jonas is also in charge of two working groups of the EU technology platform for CCS (ZEP). Jonas has a double master’s degree in Baltic Sea / EU-Russia relations from the universities of Turku (Finland) and Riga (Latvia), and a bachelor’s degree from the Universities of Trondheim and Freiburg (Germany).
